Starting year 2002, Chroma has been investing huge amount of human and financial resources to develop the test systems for IC. With the cooperation of the government, the industry, and the academy, Chroma was able to launch its first VLSI test system in Taiwan to supply Semiconductor business locally produced test equipment.

 Chroma 3140 is a pick & place IC handler which is capable of handling various types of package such as QFP, QFN, TSOP, BGA, μBGA and CSP, etc. The machine can handle up to 4 devices for parallel test at ambient temperature or high temperature ranging from 40℃ to 135℃. In addition to the capability of handling 5x5mm~40x40mm devices, the machine is equipped with auto stacks and manual bin plates to maximize the loading and unloading capacity. It features a user-friendly (English/Chinese) graphic user interface based on Windows system and also provides interfaces for docking with various testers.
